Bengaluru weather is famed for sudden, dramatic afternoon thunderstorms—particularly during pre-monsoon convective showers in May and post-monsoon systems in October. One moment the sky is clear; forty minutes later, heavy thunder rumbles across the Anekal plains.

At Mango Mist Resorts, guest physical safety takes absolute precedence over all scheduled timetables. Our operations adhere strictly to international adventure park meteorological safety guidelines.

The 30/30 Lightning Safety Protocol

Elevated steel zipline cables and tall wooden towers are natural lightning conductors. When electrical storm clouds approach, we enforce the globally recognized 30/30 Rule:

• ·Suspension Trigger: If the time between seeing lightning and hearing thunder drops below 30 seconds (indicating the storm is within 10 km), marshals immediately evacuate elevated rope bridges and zipline towers.
• ·Pool Evacuation: Swimmers are immediately guided out of all outdoor swimming pools because water surfaces conduct electrical ground currents.
• ·Sheltered Transition: Guests are guided into grounded, sheltered indoor pavilions, dining halls, and covered game arcades.
• ·Clearance Standard: Outdoor aerial activities remain paused until 30 minutes after the last observed thunderclap.

Equipment Re-Inspection Before Activity Resumption

After rain ceases, activities do not restart automatically. Safety technicians perform a mandatory 15-minute inspection: wiping down damp friction cables, checking brake pad integrity, inspecting rope tension, and testing carabiner snap locks before inviting guests back onto the courses.
